Kameron Marlowe Has High Hopes For The Voice

Season 15 of The Voice is already shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet, filled with some of the best talent the show has ever seen. Kameron Marlowe is one of those talented artists that has made is his way on to the show as a member of Team Blake.

A North Carolina native, Marlowe began singing and playing music at a young age. According to Marlowe growing up in the church helped him develop his passion for music, helping him become the artist he is today.

“I’ve been around music my whole life. I grew up in the church and that’s where I started to find my passion for worship leading and find my passion for singing. As I grew I up I kind of decided to try and play more music. Music is just kind of the niche I fell in to. So I have just kind of taken music as far as I can,” said Marlowe.

Marlowe did not find The Voice, The Voice found him. After seeing videos of him singing on Social Media The Voice reached out to Marlowe inviting him to audition, and Marlowe accepted. Marlowe hit stage singing Luke Combs’ “One Number Away” compelling both Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson to push their buttons. While Marlow admits that 30 minutes before his Blind Audition he had a moment where he thought he would choose Clarkson if she turned, in that moment he had to go with Shelton.

“So about 30 minuted before I went out on stage we were sitting back in a holding room and I was like man if Kelly turns I really might go with her. Because I wanted to be with Kelley for some reason and then when when I went out on stage my gut was telling me to go with Blake so I just had to go with him,” said Marlowe.

“Blake is a hero of mine in the country scene for a long time. I’ve always wanted to work him. I’ve loved his music forever and he turned for me and there was no one else Id rather have went with,” continued Marlowe.

According to Marlowe in the short amount of time he has been able to work with Shelton, he has already been able to learn a lot from the country music superstar.

“ [Blake] has taught me a lot musically already. He’s taught me a lot about my voice I didn’t know I had. He’s given me a great song choice for the next round and I'm ready to move on with it,” said Marlowe.

Marlowe’s blind audition has gotten over 1.3 million views on youtube allowing Marlowe’s fanbase to increase. For people just hearing about the talented artist Marlowe wants them to know he is a well rounded artist and not only a country artist.

“I want them to know that I'm not just a country artist. I do have different sides to me and hopefully I can show them that on the next round of The Voice if I make it,” said Marlowe.

Marlowe will now move on to The Battle Rounds where he will meet a fellow Team Blake Member with a chance to move on The Knockout Rounds. To follow Marlowe’s musical journey like him on Facebook, (@Kameronmarlowemusic) and follow him on Instagram (Kameron_Marlowe) and Twitter (@Kameron_Marlowe).
